Chinthowa Development Trust helps children in Malawi access primary and secondary education by supporting school attendance, learning materials, and opportunities for a brighter future.
How We Help the Community of Chinthowa
In the rural community of Chinthowa, many families face daily challenges including poverty, food insecurity, and limited access to education. The work of Chinthowa Development Trust focuses on practical, long-term support that helps children and families build more stable and hopeful futures.
Our programmes are centred on four key areas that respond directly to the needs of the community. We provide care and support for vulnerable and orphaned children, help local young people access primary and secondary education, run a feeding programme that ensures children receive regular nutritious meals, and support agricultural projects that improve food security and sustainability.
Together, these initiatives work to strengthen the whole community — helping children grow, learn, and thrive while giving families the tools they need to build a more secure future.
